About us
"FishTide" is a free site for everyone who loves fishing across the Arab world. It brings together fishing times, tides, the moon and the wind for every Arab coast in one place, in Arabic and English — from the Gulf to the Atlantic, and from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea.
Our idea is simple: a skilled angler doesn't just know how to cast — they know when to cast. The difference between coming home empty-handed and filling your cooler is often an hour or two of the right timing, and we're here to pinpoint those hours for you.
🎣 How to use the site in a minute
- Open the tool and pick your country and the fishing spot nearest you.
- The site tells you at once: go today or not, and the best fishing windows (ebb and flood tide, to the hour).
- Browse the tabs: tide & moon, weather & wind (shore or boat), fish species and seasons, and the right rig for each.
- Plan your whole week from the "Week" tab and see which day is strongest.
How we make the content
Every article in the "Fishing secrets" section is written specifically for this site and built on the same rules the tool uses: tide timing, the Hijri calendar and fishermen's table, the moon, wind, and season tables. We write practically, for beginners and experienced anglers alike, and avoid overblown promises such as "guaranteed fish". When we mention rules or regulations, we say that they change and that the official authority in each country is the reference.
Country pages are assembled from our spot data (places, species, seasons) together with an introduction written for each country separately. The spots listed are general starting points, not a precise field guide, since conditions shift from season to season.
Who is behind the site?
FishTide is an independent project run from Kuwait, built and maintained by a fishing lover like you, with no commercial backer or sponsors influencing the recommendations. The aim is for Arab anglers to find serious, easy-to-use information in their own language in one place, from the Gulf to the Ocean.
Corrections and feedback
We know anglers often have deeper field knowledge of their own areas, so we welcome your corrections: a local name for a fish, a new spot, or a mistake. Send it through the contact page or by email at info@arabfishing.com and we will review it and update the site. Ads, where shown, are served through Google AdSense and do not affect the ranking or content of recommendations.
⚠️ Note: all times are estimates to help you plan. Safety first, and always follow the fishing laws and seasons in your country.
How the guides are edited
We organise local fishing knowledge into explanations a beginner can follow, and distinguish it from scientific references and the tool’s calculated estimates. Examples are learning starting points, not records of trips we did not document. Editorial tools may assist drafting and organisation; they do not verify every local season, access rule or tackle choice.
Tell us the guide URL, general location and the correction you suggest. We prefer a source or a clear observation with a date to a claim that one rule works everywhere.
Start with a practical fishing question
Choose a fishing question before choosing a score. FishTide brings together location-based planning data and practical guides for shore and boat anglers. The useful next step depends on what you want to learn: tackle, bait, reading the sea, or comparing a forecast.
For a first shore session, start with a permitted position and a manageable setup, then use the checklist. For an established target, read the relevant species or bait guide. The tool helps compare dates and locations; its score is not a measured probability of catching a fish or a boat safety clearance.
