Site settings and hosting

The tool does not require an account. Country, location, language and fishing-mode preferences are stored locally in your browser and can be cleared in site-data settings. Hosting services may process IP addresses, request times and connection information for operation and security. Local preference storage does not mean browsing makes no external requests.

Google advertising and cookies

The site includes Google AdSense publisher metadata and advertising-service connection code. When ads are available, Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site or other websites. Advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve personalized ads according to applicable settings and consent.

Managing personalized advertising

Manage personalized-ad preferences through Google My Ad Center and read about Google advertising technologies using the links below. You may also be able to opt out of personalization by some vendors through advertising-choice services. Disabling personalization does not necessarily remove all advertisements or all cookies.

Advertising consent

Ads and consent signals depend on Google service settings and the requirements applicable to the region where ads are served. This privacy page alone does not establish that a consent-management platform is active. Where a consent message is displayed, use its controls to manage your choice.

Contact forms and photos

If you submit a contact message, information you enter is delivered to the site operator through Web3Forms. Legacy market, catch and support pages are no longer in primary navigation; forms used on those pages follow the same delivery process. An attached photo may be uploaded to ImgBB and its link included in the message. Do not send identity documents, payment details or photos you lack permission to share. Submission does not mean automatic publication.

Weather, maps and images

Your browser may request forecasts for the selected location coordinates from MET Norway, and map or image resources from providers including OpenStreetMap, Esri and Wikimedia. These services may receive your IP address and request details under their policies. The tool does not request GPS permission automatically. If a marine-data service is enabled, coordinate requests may pass through Cloudflare to the provider configured for that service.

Retention, correction and deletion

Browser preferences can be removed locally. Submitted messages and images may remain in an inbox or with delivery providers under their policies; we do not promise automatic deletion that has not been implemented. Use the contact page to request clarification, correction or deletion relating to your message, identifying it without supplying additional sensitive data.
